Saturday – Day 1: Discover the must-sees of the Bay
9 a.m. – Breakfast and departure for a day of exploration
Start your day gently with our gourmet breakfast before heading out to explore the wonders of the Arcachon Bay.
Between the sea air and the soft light of the ocean, Arcachon offers the perfect setting to begin a day of adventure.

10 a.m. – Climb the Dune du Pilat
It is impossible to visit Arcachon without discovering the Dune du Pilat, the highest sand dune in Europe.
Located just a few kilometers from the city center, it rises to more than 100 meters in height and stretches for nearly 3 kilometers.
After the climb, the view is breathtaking: on one side, the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean; on the other, the Landes forest and the Arcachon Bay.
It is a unique place to admire one of the most beautiful panoramas in the region.
For thrill-seekers, it is also possible to go paragliding above the dune, an unforgettable experience facing the ocean.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch and oyster tasting at the Port of Arcachon
After this spectacular morning, head to the Port of Arcachon, the true maritime heart of the city.
It is the perfect place to discover the oyster-farming culture of the Bay and taste the famous Arcachon oysters, right in front of the boats.
Among the popular addresses for seafood lovers, Le Café de l’Aiguillon offers authentic cuisine that highlights local products from the Bay.
Accompanied by a glass of white wine, oysters take on a very special dimension here, in a friendly and typically Arcachon-style atmosphere.

3 p.m. – Pinasse boat trip to Île aux Oiseaux
The afternoon is perfect for exploring the Bay from the water.
Board a pinasse, the traditional boat of the Arcachon Bay, and let yourself be guided through the region’s iconic landscapes.
The cruise allows you to get close to the famous Île aux Oiseaux and its tchanquée cabins, essential symbols of the Bay. Depending on the route, the excursion may also pass by the oyster-farming villages and the Cap Ferret peninsula.
6 p.m. – Walk along the seafront
Back in Arcachon, enjoy a walk along the seafront and the promenade on Boulevard de la Plage.
Between Thiers Pier and Eyrac Pier, the city’s iconic red benches provide the perfect setting to admire the Bay and watch the boats return to the harbor.
It is also a great opportunity to stroll through the shops in the city center, featuring elegant brands, designer boutiques, and local specialties.
8 p.m. – Dinner facing the Bay
To end this first day, take a seat in our seafront restaurant and enjoy dinner overlooking the ocean.
Fresh fish, seafood, and local products make up a simple and flavorful local cuisine, perfect for enjoying the unique atmosphere of Arcachon at nightfall.

Sunday – Day 2: nature, heritage, and activities
9:30 a.m. – Discover Arcachon’s four districts
Arcachon has a unique characteristic: the city is organized into four districts, each representing a season.
During your walk, take the time to discover:
- Winter Town, famous for its magnificent 19th-century villas
- Summer Town, the lively heart of the seaside resort
- Autumn Town, around the port and the Aiguillon district
- Spring Town, quieter and closer to nature
To explore these districts in a different way, it is possible to join a guided tour organized by the Tourist Office.
11 a.m. – Walk through the Winter Town
Perched on the heights, Winter Town is one of the most fascinating districts of Arcachon.
Its winding streets are home to more than 300 villas with remarkable architectural styles: neo-Gothic, colonial, and even oriental.
The walk passes through Parc Mauresque, a true green haven offering a panoramic view over the city and the Bay.
The more curious visitors can also climb the Sainte-Cécile Observatory, a metal belvedere offering a spectacular view over Arcachon.
1 p.m. – Lunch at the Arcachon market
For a gourmet break, head to the Arcachon market, located on Place des Marquises.
Under the Baltard-style market hall, the stalls offer a wide variety of local products: freshly caught fish, oysters from the Bay, cheeses, specialties from the South-West of France, and artisanal pastries.
It is the perfect place to discover the flavors of the region.

3 p.m. – Kayaking on the Bay
To end your stay on a high note, why not enjoy a water activity?
The Arcachon Bay is perfectly suited for kayaking or paddleboarding, allowing you to explore the landscapes right from the water.
